Rebecca Smith is a PhD student in the Department of History at Queen’s University. Smith’s research examines Canadian borders and identities through an investigation of the Mad Trapper, a 1930s criminal hunted down through the Northwest Territories and Yukon. In her role with NACDI, Smith creates historically-based content that demonstrates the breadth and long-term impact of soft diplomacy initiatives.
