Eduardo is an Associate Professor of the Department of Politics and Culture at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana-Xochimilco, in Mexico City and a Profesor de Cátedra in the International Studies Department at Universidad Iberoamericana. He is also a member of the Mexican National System of Researchers (Sistema Nacional de Investigadores, in Spanish). He holds a PhD in Communication from IBERO, a Master in Asian and African Studies from El Colmex and an International Relations Bachelor from UPAEP. He has been on exchange programs in Korea University (Korea) and the University of California-Los Angeles (United States).
He is co-founder of the Círculo Mexicano de Estudios Coreanos (CMEC), a national organization that promotes Korean studies and culture in Mexican Museums, Universities, Political Institutions and in the digital sphere and he is also a member of the Study Group on Eurasia (GESE). Eduardo has worked as an advisor on security issues and international relations in the Mexican congress and supported academic cooperation projects between Mexico and various countries.
