Christine Sadler

Christine Sadler is the Managing Director at the National Gallery of Canada Foundation where she and her team work with a pan-Canadian and international family of philanthropists in support of the National Gallery of Canada’s programs, exhibitions and research initiatives.  She specializes in the Foundation’s international outreach projects and the advancement of Canadian artists on the global stage, including the Venice Biennale, which has launched and sustained the careers of some of Canada’s most acclaimed artists, and for which the National Gallery of Canada is Commissioner of the Canadian Representation.  She also runs the American Friends of the National Gallery of Gallery which was founded to build meaningful dialogue about the visual arts between Canada and the United States.  Previous to this she was the Chief of Exhibitions Management at the National Gallery, where she led the national capital and touring program, working on many international projects such as Van Gogh Up Close, Caravaggio and His Followers in Rome, and Renoir’s Landscapes.  She has also worked at the Jewish Museum in New York, the National Portrait Gallery, London and the Design Museum, London in exhibitions and collections management.
