Biography
A sociologist and Master in Social Research (University of Buenos Aires) and Ph.D. in History (UTDT), Andrea is a professor of the Historical and Social Studies Department of the University Torcuato Di Tella and the Ricardo Rojas Cultural Centre, University of Buenos Aires. Her fields of research are the social history of Argentina in the late nineteenth and twentieth century and cultural industries; comparative history: the United States and Argentina at the beginning of the 20th Century. She has been a fellow of the National Endowment for the Arts (1997), Fulbright Commission at MIAS (2012), Fellow at Terra Foundation for American Arts (2017), and Research Fulbright Commission Fellow at UC Davis (2019). She is author of ten books, between them “Locos por la Radio” (2006) ; “El Tango entre dos Americas. Representaciones en Estados Unidos durante las primeras décadas del siglo XX” (Georgia State University, 2013/ Eudeba 2016)," and recently "Nelson Rockefeller y la Diplomacia del arte en América Latina" (Eudeba 2021).
