Biography

Rashi Khilnani is a MPA candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School. As a journalist, non-profit executive and communications consultant, her work has focused on building bridges and understanding between communities within Canada and internationally through the media, arts, trade and cultural programs. Her interest lies in using policy driven programming to promote soft power interests. Rashi was the host of the Indo-Canadian Report on Radio Canada International, the CBC's overseas broadcast, and was a Media Fellow at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, where she mapped the lentil trade between Canada and India. She has also worked on cultural programming for the Department of Canadian Heritage at the March 21 Anti-Racism Campaign, and most recently on an initiative that provided newcomers to Canada with books by Canadian authors. Rashi is a National Magazine Award nominee and an unabashed lover of Canadian literature.
