Cultural Diplomacy and the City, parts 1 & 2

In this essay, Sascha Priewe argues that cities, global or otherwise, should more fully embrace culture’s function as one of the pillars of their international, if not global, engagement.

This two-part series was published on the CPD Blog as part of Dr. Sascha Priewe's 2019-2021 Research Fellowship at the Center on Public Diplomacy (CPD) at the University of Southern California. The CPD Blog is intended to stimulate dialog among scholars and practitioners from around the world in the public diplomacy sphere.

The text originally appeared as "Cultural Diplomacy and the City" in Arts & International Affairs, October 27, 2019.
